In August 2023, during the Donsö Shipping Meet, a group of engaged shipping companies came together to launch an initiative to push gender equality forward in the maritime industry. Through collaboration, clear targets, and zero tolerance for harassment, we're taking concrete steps towards a more equal future at sea.
Over 100 women from across the sector gathered at one of N-O-S's offices to develop the Equality in Shipping - Action list. It includes proposed goals and recommendations for promoting a more equal culture.
Together, we're turning words into action and building a more inclusive maritime industry where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.
